Claudia Porrata, MD, MPH
Medical Director, Lifestyle Medicine Specialist

Dr. Claudia Porrata received her MD Degree from the University of El Salvador, School of Medicine, in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1997. In 2002 she completed her Internal Medicine residency program at the University of de Buenos Aires School Of Medicine and her requirement for the degree as a Specialist in Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Porrata continued her medical training at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami School of Medicine, completing a Fellowship in Special Immunology and her internship in General Surgery. She completed her second residency at the Palm Beach County Health Department Preventive Medicine/Public Health residency program and also her Masters in Public Health at NOVA Southeastern University in 2009.

Focusing on Preventive and Lifestyle medicine and given the need for a comprehensive obesity program in the community, Dr. Porrata has been successfully treating patients in need of bariatric care following the guidelines of the American Society of Bariatric Medicine.

Vanessa Pitzer, BS
Office Manager

Vanessa has been working in healthcare for over 5 years specializing in wellness. She has been working along side Dr. Porrata since 2009.  

As the person who coordinates scheduling, billing, and all other administrative elements of our practice, Vanessa has developed an impressive ability to oversee our complex operation with patience, warmth, and great success. 

She is the point person for our patients and communicates directly with Dr Porrata. Because Lifestyle Medicine Specialists does not have an answering service, be sure to contact Vanessa directly.
